October 2018 – February 2019
In this study, Konnektiv conducted research and analysed the possibilities and limits of digital instruments in development cooperation of non-governmental organizations (NGO) for VENRO.
The research provides an initial overview of current trends at the intersection of digitalization and development cooperation. Important actors in the NGO sector were interviewed and digital methods, strategies and practical case studies are highlighted. The study presents which digital instruments could be used by or be made available to development actors in project work, covering low- to high-tech instruments. The final portion of the study makes concrete recommendations for the implementation of digital projects with specific focus on NGOs in digital discourse.
The study “Tech for Good: Possibilities and limits of digital instruments in development cooperation of non-governmental organizations” was published in February 2019 and is available here (in German).
VENRO functions as the umbrella organisation of development and humanitarian aid non-governmental organisations in Germany.
